Gone is the sunshine streaming through my window at 4:30 am beckoning me to the day. Darkness now permeates the waking hour. It is a welcome respite in many ways. I hunker down for a few extra minutes relishing the warmth under the covers. My farmer has been long gone to the barn. Rising early to milk the cows. I could stay here longer; but I don't. Chick, Chick here! Chick, Chick there!!     There are chicks everywhere! We ordered chicks in our usual way and received a surprise when they were delivered!!!! Not only did we receive our box! But someone else's from Wasilla Alaska!!! I was so confused and overwhelmed at first! There were 3 of us trying to divide up the chicks! We couldn't tell them apart! There were SO MANY! We gathered. Together. Our family. Changed. In so many ways.  The ebb and flow of life. It thrills. It hurts. We press on. Reaching for what is truth; for what is real. Searching for meaning.
