Chick, Chick here!

There are chicks everywhere!
We ordered chicks in our usual way and received a surprise when they were delivered!!!!
Not only did we receive our box!
But someone else’s from Wasilla Alaska!!!
I was so confused and overwhelmed at first!

There were 3 of us trying to divide up the chicks!
We couldn’t tell them apart!
There were SO MANY!

Finally hours later when it dawned on me that we have WAY TOO MANY CHICKS!
I noticed on the inside label that my name was NOT on that box!
So, the short of it is that we have SO MANY CHICKS in our house right now!
They are loud and stinky and messy and Oh, so cute!
My days are always crazy. . . but today has been super crazy.
I did manage to wash and hang my sheets!
Did I mention that today the temperatures soared to over 80 degrees!!
Yes, my last blog post was about snow..
So on top of noisy fowl, it is crazy warm!
I’m trying to lean into the crazy.
(Ha!)
Trying to enjoy and see the beauty even in the chaotic!

 

Is it bad that we’re having chicken for dinner?

I don’t know.
I need more coffee.
I have 110 little chicks in my dining room.
I still need to get a heat lamp and get some of these babies out to the coop.
But right now I am going to brew a strong cup of coffee. . . and sit out on the porch in case this is all the summer we’ll have!
I so need practice to enjoy the moment.
