Blessings in Best Buy Day # 25 of Thankfulness

25 Nov

Each person has a story to tell.  The fabric of their life woven together.  Some of the stories we know.  Others lie buried deep within.  Sometimes our lives intersect.  A chance meeting.  Social Media.  Strangers become friends.  Blessings given.  Aching hearts touched.  An artist.  Reached out.  She touched two mama's hearts.  Cousins; gone way too soon.  She gave. Part of her story.  Helping to bring warmth to our story.  In Best Buy we meet. While I wait for phone's to be switched over.  While my heart ... View Post

Despair is but a Step Away Day #19 of Thankfulness

19 Nov

Two years ago; this was our walk.  We are still clinging to that same hope two years later.  Rejoicing in cancer being at bay.  Learning to live with our precious red head residing with the King of Kings.  Remembering God is good. . . all the time.  Though despair, at times is only a step away.  God offers hope that is so much greater.  ------------------------------------------------------------- November 19, 2013 To Despair is to Turn Your Back on God Day #19 of Thankfulness To despair is to turn your back on God.             ... That Inner Circle Day #18 of Thankfulness

18 Nov

Spent a lovely evening out last night. Amazing food and service.  Treated by friends who never seem to let us go.  Holding us close.  Caring.  Checking in.  Helping us move forward.  Friendship.  Beautiful.  Cultivated.  Grace.  Surround yourself with those that encourage and challenge you.  We are blessed to have those in our life who continue to walk with us.  Fill your world with those that seek to see you more like Christ.  Take inventory of that inner circle.  When that circle is spurring you on; you have ... The Rest of the Story Day #13 of Thankfulness

13 Nov

We had errands to run.  Bread from the bread store and Ink for the printer.  Our reward.  Coffee. (they even spelled Christiana's name correctly!) A splurge.  An indulgence.  Creating a memory with the dancer girl.  His card.  Now. . . with a balance of zero.  The gift, I think, from Project Graduation.  Found in his wallet- after they returned his belongings to me.  The wallet he had on him when he passed from this life to Glory.  Now kept on my farmers bureau.  The Starbucks card nestled in between his ... I Would Like a Do Over Day #6 of Thankfulness

6 Nov

We stand in line.  I fuss, I fume.  The event already started.  And we're outside.  I complain.  I feel anxious.  I question why I've come.  I wonder why they don't have a better system.  Many thoughts run through my head.  It is not until I am home.  Until it is late at night that I process this.  I missed out on so many blessings because I stepped into anxiety.  Instead of using the beautiful gift of gratitude  I jumped off the cliff into dangerous water.  I let frustration and other emotions crowd out the ... Being Thankful is a Choice Day #2 of Thankfulness

2 Nov

Worship.  An act.  A response.  Each Sunday for almost 48 years.  Part of my life.  My being.  Deep within.  We sing; I surrender All.  I think about those words.  I have surrendered my son.  Not willingly.  I surrendered my husband.  Not willingly. . . and he was given back.  I surrender all.  There is a lot to that act.  It is a choice.  One I want to embrace.  As one begins to surrender all the hurt. . . all the ache.  Something happens  The Act of Praise begins to ...
