The Grave Could NOT Hold Him

27 Mar

Reposting, because I am remembering.  Easter has always been about the Cross.  Easter has always been what we need.  Even when we don't understand.  The antidote to what ails us.  Always.  He is risen! Just like he said.  His word; Truth.  He is risen.  He is coming back again.  All of creation will bow.  While we wait.  We seek to live as He did.  We bend knees to the ground in humble submission, as we ponder the walk to the cross.  And as the day dawns we live in hope.  Matthew ... Two and half years of Missing, Two and a Half Years of Much Grace

28 Jan

Two and a half years.  The beautiful words of remembrance, faded away.  Time passing.  Life moving forward.  Memories; a gift.  The Lord's sweet provision.  A gift to be treasured.  A legacy of photo's.  God made sure there were pieces to hold on to.  A heart full of memories.  I still don't like this plan.  My whole being longs for a different path.  But that is not to be.  So, with my whole heart I will praise the One who calls me by ... Behold, He Comes

7 Jun

The video plays.  The tears come.  The ache deep within. Oh how I miss him.  I listen to the drums.  His style soft and enjoyable.  The song plays.  Behold He Comes.  He would come. He would take my first born. And He would come again and take my second born.  In the early hours of the morning.  He would come. My farmer and I talk. Sometimes we feel like we're just living, waiting for Christ to return. We're so done with being here. . . on this earth.  The pain excruciating. Everything feeling out of whack. Is this how all ... Will I Ever Be Whole Again?

13 Feb

I just want off this road. I don't want to live without our son. We invest so much in our kids.  We thrill at their successes and mourn at their losses. Our days are ordered around their life as we watch them become all they can be. Our family is a unit. Each with it's unique function; making us whole. Our dream is for them to be all they can be in Christ. We long for them to make this world a better place. To bring change to this hurting world. To be Jesus to the lost.  To share hope.  And when that dream is dashed; torn from you.  We don't feel whole any more. There is ... View Post
