I Love This Farm

17 Sep

I Love this Farm; and the Farmer who lives here.  There is no place I’d rather be.

The open fields, rushing waters, looming mountains, display the majesty of God beautifully. Here, I sense the very presence of God even when I feel far, far away.

Looking up

Psalm 19:1
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

Ephesians 6:18
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.
With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

No matter the season, the temperature, the storms we’ve weathered.
I would choose it again.

He asked me to partner with him 24 years ago today.
He asked if I would spend the rest of my life being his friend.
In a barn at the Tunbridge Fair I said I would join in that journey.
He gave me a ring from a great grandmother.
Engaged.
Pledged to be married.
I spun that beautiful symbol of a pledge on my finger.
We asked God to bless our journey.
To bless our plans for a wedding.
To let Gods love shine through everything we do.
4 weeks later we would publicly share our vows and commit our lives together; forever.

I love this Farm house.
Even though it’s drafty and huge, it needs painting and repairs, I love the love God has created.

“Hi”, says the cows.
They love it here too.

How could they not?

I love this Farm and the Farmer who lives here.
