Letting Go Of Fear and Being Hope For Someone This Year

1 Jan

It’s here.
Another year.
Looming before us.
Choices.
Unknowns.
2014 came and went.
And here we are.
Wondering.
What will this year hold?
Hope.
It is a gift.
One to look for and embrace.
To grab hold of and seek.
It is hope that spurs us on.
Hope that reconciles the rough way.
Right close behind is fear.
Fear of the unknown.
Fear of what is known.
Fear can paralyze us.
Blind us to truth.
To a future.
We are reminded to not fear.
We are given a promise of help.
Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

We push away the fear, when we step into hope.
When we trust.
When we allow our mighty God to strengthen and help us.
We open the possibilities for the Holy to touch down.
This new day, this new year loom before us.
How will you make a difference?
How will your walk reflect the light and hope that came as a babe in a manger?
Matthew 12:21
In his name the nations will put their hope.”
We are called to be the hope for the hurting.
The balm.
The hope.
May each step you take in 2015 be about blessing someone else.
Seeking the lost.
Sharing hope.
Michael W. Smith
Mighty To Save

Everyone needs compassion
A love that’s never failing
let mercy fall on me
Everyone needs forgiveness
the kindness of a Savior
The hope of nations

Savior, He can move the mountains
my God is mighty to save
He is mighty to save
forever author of salvation
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave
