The wind blows and the rain falls.
There is a chill in the air after days of warmth.
April.
Unheard of.
Odd.
Yet so needed.
This year has been full of the unexpected and unmet realities.
Sharing early warmth has been delightful.
A push to do all the things of summer.
Yet, not yet time.
So today the rain and chill slow things down a bit.
They draw me back to the necessary.
Coffee.
Planning.
Dreaming.
More coffee.
There has been a lot brewing here on the farm!
And it’s not just my coffee!!!
We are now able to accommodate those folks who want to stop by the farm and pick up a jar of milk!
We’re so excited to be able to offer this to our customers!
So far it’s been a great success!
It is first come first serve!
If you’re wanting to make sure you have a jar give us a call or send a text!
Our chickens are finally laying again as well!
Farm Fresh eggs are available for purchase!
We enjoy meeting our customers and love sharing what we do with all of you!
As we dream about the future and where God will lead, us our number one goal is to steward this farm well.
We want generations to come to enjoy this view.
We long for this place to be a refuge to all who come.
The cows are eager for the green grass.
They pace back and forth waiting.
Longing.
Searching.
Escaping.
Hoping for winter’s end.
Much like all of us.
Soon.
The days are now longer.
The snow will soon be gone and the warm days of summer will be before us.
While we wait, I will brew another cup of coffee.
The fire will take the chill off the house.
We will fill milk jars and egg cartons!
We will welcome our guests to the Guest House and share the tranquility and peace of this land.
Dear Tammy,
Oh how I’ve missed your writings and your blog post. I have taken a social media break. In the world we’re living in seeing the post even from some I love was hard to see daily. It took me further from where I want to be which is to love the ones I’m surrounded by and continuously being on my knees for the ones I know just need to come back to Jesus. There is so much pain and suffering and seeing it daily over and over was just overwhelming. I know Scripture says to be in the world but not of the world and I found myself thinking and seeing things the way world saw things. So I had to make the choice to set it aside. I’m not completely off I’m on maybe once or twice a month because I love seeing the pictures from so many beautiful places from where I am from the beautiful state of Vermont. On Instagram I saw a post about you were going to be on a podcast me and Tami have both listen to it and loved hearing from you heart. The desire to have the long table runs deep in me as well as we see the pain around us I love filling the table and pouring and his children old and young. I am so pleased to find your website and will be here frequently to hear what’s going on in your world your beautiful world and hoping to get back to Vermont. It’s been more than three years since we’ve been there between buying the house building the family and then yes Covid has unfortunately kept us a distance. We will continue surround you and your beautiful family with are prays daily. Keep running down the path he lays in front you and Inspire all around you to do the same. Thanks my friend till we see you again be well.
Oh Dana,
I had not seen this comment for some reason. Thank you for your words. Yes, it is easy to look at all the heartache and feel heavy. Yet, we must remember that God sees the bigger picture and He is doing a beautiful thing. Mostly hidden from us at this time. Take heart. Long to see you when you return to this beautiful state. Until then keep on, keeping on.
