May I have your attention?
Good.

We have an announcement.

So, stay tuned.

I haven’t been writing.
The busyness of the day,
leaves me exhausted.
Thoughts.
Emotions.
Tyranny of the urgent.

I have run to the pen and paper and wrestled the thoughts there in a leather bound journal.

Swirling, whirling ideas and feelings.

These times are rich and full.
Life.
Graduations and new adventures.

Visits with farmettes and their parents.

The oldest pursuing a master’s degree, the Nurse starting her job, the farm boy so busy with his work.
The two younger girls dancing, swimming, feeding calves and living their best life.

The porch swing creaks as one or more kids steal away to a new adventure in the pages of a book.

Coffee is brewed for late afternoon talks.

Life. 

There are acres of fence line to trim and so many chores to finish that some days I think they’ll never end.

We’ve had a slew of baby calves in a short period of time.

Life.

So much later than usual.
Still so adorable and fun.

All this life has also made us decide to forego the Fundraisers for,

The “Elijah Todd Davis Memorial Fund” this year.

The planning and preparation all needed to be done when life was in full swing and margins were small.

We’re taking a year off.

It seems strange. 

These events have become such a part of who we are.

And a time to connect with those in our family and community that keep us going.
So, we’re planning and searching and getting ready to make next years
ETD Leatherneck Scramble and Music Under the Stars events even better!

This year we were able to provide a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving Senior at Mount Mansfield Union High School.

We long to do more.
We are constantly praying and searching for ways to make a difference.

We pray your summer as been intentional.

That you are seeking the moments.
Searching for ways to be present.
Slowing life down a little.
And always joining God in the work He is already doing.
