It’s right in front of us.
Each day.
We choose to see.
Or we don’t.
Some things are easier.
The sunrise.
The signs of Spring.
They shout their beauty in electrifying ways!
But there’s more.
There’s beauty where our hearts meet the day.
A friend came to visit.
We gathered on my brothers back porch.
Second generation friendships formed by our parents.
Moments that are fleeting unless you grab hold.
Distractions keep us from seeing.
We miss the beauty.
We miss the glory.
Choose today to see the Beauty.
It’s not always easy.
Frankly some days I don’t want to.
We limit our ability to see when we turn our eyes away from the sustainer of Life.
We become inward focused.
When our hearts yield and rest in surrender, the spirit pours life into the broken places.
I’ve been travelling this week.
The signs of new life everywhere.
Green grass, beautiful splashes of color as the Spring flowers come to life.
Song of Solomon 2:12-13
Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land.
The gloomy and overcast days often reveal genuine beauty.
May we always have eyes to see the beauty.
